Why tour groups?

NovaHub currently works in such a way that each tour serves exactly one day and one direction. This structure allows us to handle trips with maximum flexibility, but currently requires a lot of maintenance from users.

In future, tours can be combined into tour groups. Changes in a tour group will be applied to all associated tours, which significantly reduces the effort involved in making changes over several days.

The details

• Several trips can be combined into a trip group - with a common name and, where appropriate, common master data (e.g. contract).

• Each day and each direction in the week can contain exactly one trip.

• What this is good for:

  • More overview for recurring outward/return journeys over the week.

  • Faster processing: Changes (e.g. driver, escort, vehicle, times) can be applied to entire periods and several journeys at the same time.

  • Standardized naming: Group name without direction and day of the week - clearer and more consistent in planning.

• Where visible:

  • Trips view: Table per weekday and direction with all associated trips, including important fields (name, contract, attributes, escort requirements, capacity, number of people, validity, notes, speed factor, waiting time).

  • Person view: All persons in the group with an overview of the days on which they are traveling.

  • Planning: Timeline and grid/map views for quick group changes and visual control.

• What you can do with it:

  • Merge existing trips into a group or create new trips directly in a group.

  • Quickly "Add trip" per day/direction, either select from existing trips or create new ones (pre-filled data).

  • Apply joint contract to the group, with security queries if individual trips already differ.

  • Print/export: convenient output of grouped data.

• What is not (yet) included:

  • No automatic historization of complex changes at group level.

• Outlook:

  • Extensions for mass updates and detailed evaluations across groups - depending on your feedback.
